Equipment
In your Arsenal, you can modify/improve your equipment.
Once a frame or weapon is selected you can choose to edit their characteristics by adding mods.
On the editing screen, you can see the capacity at the top left, indicating the "weight" of mods you can equip:
- ex: 10 capacity = 1 mod at 10 capacity OR 2 mods at 5 capacity
- all equipable items (frames, weapons, companions, archwings etc) occupy a limited slot. You can buy more, but it will cost platinum
- the base capacity of equipment increases with your account Mastery level, playing with a given item increases its mastery and thus its capacity
- You can quickly increase a frame or weapon capacity by equipping respectively an aura (ex: Dreamer's Bond) and a stance (ex: Swooping Falcon for Skana)
- The cost in credits and Endo to level up mods is exponential, it depends on:
- the "rarity / quality" of the mod, the higher it is, the more expensive: bronze, silver, gold, primed/galvanized/archon
- the number of ranks: the cost is exponential. For a rank 10 mod, avoid maxing it directly to balance investment and return when you have few resources (ex: having 3 mods rank 7 is better than one mod rank 10)
Mods: General Info
Mods make you stronger
Leveling up your mods is the ABCs of becoming more resistant and dealing more damage.
- fusion (leveling up) your mods makes your mods even more effective: it's better to have 2 leveled mods that take 15 capacity and give lots of stats than 6 mods that occupy the same with almost no effect.
- requires Endo and credits to level up your mods (see Farm), upgrade cost depends
- on the quality of mods. The more they are "shiny" (bronze > silver > gold > primed/galvanized/archon), the more expensive it will be
- on the number of ranks: the more you progress, the more expensive the upgrade per rank
- it will be better in the beginning to avoid max ranks and level several mods to an intermediate rank to achieve a good compromise. Ex: Level 3 mods at rank 7/10 instead of one at 10/10.
- mod slots can be polarized: they have a specific mod sign ("V" "D" "-" etc) indicating they are specialized for a mod family/polarity:
- reduces the capacity cost of mods from the same family (divided by 2, shown in green)
- increases the capacity cost of mods from other families (shown in red)
Loadouts
The first line at the top left of the Arsenal corresponds to presets/loadouts: you can save a setup corresponding to given equipment (a frame, 3 weapons, a pet with specific mods).
You can make different loadouts, for example:
- one for Volt oriented towards melee weapons to quickly finish missions
- another for Volt oriented towards nuking by dealing lots of damage with ability 4
- another with Rhino for tanking in more difficult missions
- etc...
Note that you can select prepared loadouts on the fly in your navigation, to adapt your tools according to your desires or game modes.
